Allowing Joy

By Rosemary Veilleux
Tuesday, November 1st, 2022

Dear Friends,

it has been several months since I’ve connected with all of you. During this time, I have been busy buying and selling a home and setting up my new space and yard. It was an extremely busy time that took much effort to create. But overall, I felt there was a flow to the experience and to how things opened for me.  I was meeting many neighbors, getting out and exploring the area, finding people to help with my yard and home.  I was feeling a lightness I had not felt in a while.

Then COVID hit me. For most of July I was sick with fatigue and a cough that lingered. The beginning of August I woke to my eyes and face swollen and burning. Years ago, I had developed a histamine intolerance and became sensitive to just about anything. Finding myself back in this place did not make me happy. I just started healing from this issue, when this past week, I reached down to pick up the dog’s dishes and my back went into spasm, That really took me by surprise as I had been diligent with my yoga practice and my body had been feeling good and moving with greater fluidity.  Ok geez, what was going on?

The old part of me thought: “I shouldn’t’ have moved, I should have stayed where I was. Maybe l am not really being supported with this change.” But luckily, I have wise friends to help me challenge these thoughts, and I have developed enough wisdom to do it for myself but sometimes I fall into the victim role again before I even know it is happening.

After contemplation and discussion with these thoughtful beings, I realized that somewhere in my consciousness, and ancestor energy, I was still buying into the notion that there is only so much happiness we can have. Only so much joy that is allowed. Only so much comfort can be experienced. My ancestors and probably yours too, lived a life of struggle. Life was about surviving, not thriving. This energy gets passed down through the family lineage until someone challenges that thought and belief system to transform this energetic pattern.

I was feeling lighter than I had in some time and then somewhere in me an alarm went off.  Danger ahead, too much joy on the horizon.  Time to scale it back to a safe place!!!  And even though these last 3 months have been challenging, it still felt comfortable on some level.  How many times have you found yourself in a situation in which you started to feel happy, content, like life was really opening for you.  And then, you have an argument with a loved one because the intimacy is too intense and good, something you haven’t experienced before.  Feels scary.   Or you finally have a chance to buy your dream home or start a new business that you have wanted to create in a long time, and then something prevents you from moving in that direction.

Those things that get in our way are only roadblocks if we let them be roadblocks.  Or we can look at them and say, “okay, I’ve temporarily forgotten that my joy cup is not full yet.  I’ve just reached back to a place of comfort.  And that is okay.  I’ll rest here for a bit but then I’m going to allow my cup to get fuller!” Here is a fun exercise.  Ask yourself, if a cup Is the full experience of joy you can have, how full is yours currently?  When I asked myself this question, I realized mine was only 40 percent full.  And that is where I feel comfort.  Anything over that, panic on some level sets in.  Danger ahead, too much happiness on the horizon!!

The good news is that if I were to have done that exercise 20 years ago, I bet my cup was less full.  And 40 years ago, probably even less full than that.  Don’t’ get me wrong, I know things are going to happen in life that are less than optimal in which we have no control over. But I do believe, that even within those difficult times, we have the capacity to find some joy to fill our cups a little fuller.  I have often spoken of the joy of simple pleasures. Watching birds in the feeder, deer meandering around, children playing, can all inspire happiness.

I think sometimes it’s difficult to find joy when we know so many other people in the world are experiencing great suffering.  Or it could be someone we know is also having a very difficult time.  It would be easy to default to finding some suffering in your own life to commiserate with that loved one or with the world.  However, it is much more valuable to stay in a place of higher vibration of love, joy, peace and contentment.  It is that energy, ultimately, that will help lift others with their suffering and raise the vibration of the world.

My reason for sharing this with you is to not only help myself to grow and open up to more joy in my own life, but to ask all of you to witness for yourself your joy limits.  How full is your cup now?  The world needs us to help raise the vibration of this planet for all sentient beings.  The best. way we can do this is to reach to fill up our own cup and share our higher energy with another.  I am not suggesting you share your energy in a gloating, “I’m luckier than you way”, but rather in a way that inspires others to reach for greater levels of wellbeing.  When we see our loved ones happy, our own cup becomes a little bit fuller. If you are feeling good, content, and light, you will mirror this for others. However, ultimately it is up to them to choose this level of experience for themselves.

My challenge to all of us today is this:  Can we choose a greater experience of joy this day, this moment. And will you share that joy with others?

Namaste,

Rosemary

Magic of the In Between Place

By Rosemary Veilleux
Monday, December 20th, 2021

Dear Friends,

This time of year, many of us are contemplating about endings and new beginnings.  However, what I wish to share about is the in between place.  That space where endings are occurring in our lives and before the new possibilities arrive.  I have written about this before, but I feel this middle ground bears witnessing again.  This in between space, is the still place that sometimes can feel very frightening, and anxiety provoking.  However, it can also bring on feelings of excitement and hopefulness. Often, whatever emotion we are experiencing has more to do with whatever the endings are and our past way of dealing with these times.

The most powerful space we can hold is the feeling of neutrality.  In the quiet space of neutrality, all possibilities are held.  We can hold a vision of what we are desiring, but it is always good to allow life to unfold from this quiet space.  What life holds for us may be so much more powerful than what we were imaging for ourselves.

I have experienced many endings in the last several years. Relationships have been changing.  People moving to other geographical locations or passing on to another realm.  Or sometimes, our paths have turned away from each other as our souls were led in different directions.  A good friend of mine shared with me that people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.  When we try to make a friendship that came together for a reason, into a lifelong friendship, then suffering and sadness can ensue. If we bless and accept the person who came into our lives for a short time, and who left for whatever reason even possibly through death, we maintain a more peaceful approach to life with less suffering.

Recently, a dear friend crossed over after being quite sick for several months.  I think many of his friends are a bit shell shocked that he didn’t stay with us for much longer.  His sweet wife shared over 30 years with him and hoped for many more.  In this case, the ending was difficult.   Even though we know his spirit lives on in another dimension, the loss of his physical presence is painful especially for his wife, and family.

Back in 2003 a new yard maintenance man had some wisdom he shared that still lingers with me today.  My brother had just left this earth at the much too young age of 43 and I was sharing about his passing with this man who was becoming a friend.  After I shared the story of my brother’s death, this wise humble soul said very quietly, “Rosemary, if you are patient long enough, you will receive gifts from your brother’s passing”.  He said it with such power and yet humility that I knew he was speaking the truth.  I also knew that he must have experienced some deep grief in his own life to have learned this bit of wisdom. I later found out that was the case.

And this man was right!  That next year, I made 6 new friends at conferences and classes I was attending. Each of these people became close friends and we continue our friendship to this day.  My friend who recently crossed over and his wife were 2 of these souls.  Life is strange this way.  It was so hard to lose my brother in the physical form.  But the joy and support I have obtained from each of these new friends, has sustained me repeatedly through the years.  And I was fortunate, I did not have to wait too long before these new gifts, in the form of new friends came into my life.

Sometimes, the in between place, seems like it is going on forever.  Boredom can set in, and fear and anxiety if we let our negative minds take over.  I am currently in a space of contemplating moving to a new location.  I have been feeling pulled in this direction for a couple of years and the last year this feeling became stronger.  Yet despite putting 2 offers on new homes, nothing has transpired.  The housing market these days is quite crazy.

I was talking with my chiropractor about my lack of luck in the housing market, and he replied, “if a house is meant for you, you won’t be able to give it away”.  He chuckled when he said this, but there is much truth in that statement.  If my current house is where I am meant to be, I will be here for as long as the need is there.  Even though I have a feeling of being pulled in a different direction, my challenge is to sit quietly in this space and experience whatever anxiety, boredom, or fear that I am feeling from an observatory place.  I can continue to look, and move towards something that feels right, at the same time remaining in a quiet space of allowing what is meant for me to find me.

My friend who passed left a void in his wife’s life and heart.  And she is experiencing much sadness and grief which is of course, totally normal.  Her challenge will also be to allow these feelings to show up, to surface when they need to but to also find time to sit in the quiet of the in between space where life is preparing to bring her more gifts.  These gifts could be in the form of other people, deepening relationships, or an even stronger connection with her current furry family.  The space of the in between holds unlimited potential, gifts that only spirit, universal consciousness knows are for our highest good.

As we wind down 2021, and we think about New Year’s resolutions, my suggestion would be to resolve to allow that quiet space of the in between to envelope your life from a neutral perspective.  There is nothing wrong with making resolutions, but it is much more powerful if you make them, and then offer them to the universal source of all that is, to allow them or something greater into your life for your highest good.

As you move towards this year’s ending, reflect on what has transpired in 2021 from a quiet, observatory space without judgement, or too much sadness if you can.  Perhaps it was a very fun exciting year for you. Even if it was, I still suggest you observe whatever occurred from a quiet, neutral place.  Then, if there are any fears that next year can’t possibly hold as much goodness for you as this year did, you might just be pleasantly surprised.  The point is, we don’t know what the future holds.  But if we can embrace the quiet of the in between and allow spirit to move whatever pieces around that need to find their way to us, than 2022 will be a magical, mystical time no matter what transpires.

I am wishing all of you many peaceful moments as 2021 winds down and 2022 arrives.  There are many gifts for you waiting.  Breathe, and allow the magic of the in between place to bring them to you.

Much love,

Rosemary

Wisdom of Mother Nature

By Rosemary Veilleux

“I’ve always regarded nature as the clothing of God.”    Alan Hovhaness

Dear Friends,

Nature speaks to us all the time.  If you pay attention, you will notice you are being given gifts and information from all around you.  I had my final swim of the year a few weeks ago.  It was a magical afternoon.  Mount Ranier was out in all her glory. A Heron was basking in the sun and grooming himself.  Ducks were swimming around me and stopping with their butts up in the air looking for treats.  And at the end of the hike from the swimming spot, a beautiful dragonfly, lit on the leaf within inches of my face.  He was the most gorgeous dragonfly I have ever seen.

Years ago, I was contemplating going on a trip to China with a group of people I was studying with for energetic healing.  I was on the phone with a good friend of mine when I told her that I was having a hard time making up my mind about whether to go on this journey.  My friend, very emphatically stated, “Rosemary, why wouldn’t you go on this trip!  This is what you are studying, and you have the opportunity to study in China with a Master teacher!”  At that exact moment, a Heron flew very close to my dining room window.

I was in a bit in shock and awe as I have never seen a Heron away from the water like that.  He landed on the fence a few feet from my window.  I knew I was being given a message.  I opened my totem book and looked up the Heron totem.  The message that caught my eye was “to go for opportunities that present themselves”.  I laughed as I thought, the message couldn’t get any clearer than that! I immediately called up the coordinator for the trip and informed her I wanted to join the group.  I have never regretted my decision!  Every time I think of that moment, I feel deeply touched that life had my back, so to speak.

When I saw the Heron and the dragonfly after my swim, I felt immensely drawn to both of them.  The Heron showing up again, told me to pay attention to an opportunity that was coming my way.  The dragonfly was especially magical.  It was a huge gorgeous being.  I have never seen one so big.  The colors were stunning, with gold wings shimmering in the sun.  And he came within inches of me and stayed on the leaf the whole time I was communing with him.  Dragonflies to me are about transformation and freedom.  And because this was such a special dragonfly, I knew there was a transformation occurring within me and my life.  And perhaps it will be with the opportunity that is presenting itself to me soon.

As an avid gardener, I always commune with the critters around me, including the insects and the birds.  I experience harmony with the bees in my garden and we go about our business enjoying each other’s company.  I can put my head in the middle of my flowers where the bees are buzzing around and not once have they harmed me.  They are special magical creatures that to me represent community, abundance, and creativity.  When they show up in my garden, I feel a deep sense of peace.

The reason I am sharing this with you is to provide some hope in your life if you are going through a difficult time or having a hard time making decisions about something important in your life.  Life is always showing up for you and all you need to do is pay attention.  Pay attention to the magic that is around you in the form of mother nature.  If you are sad or depressed, take a walk in the park and see what or who shows up.  A squirrel might chatter at you reminding you to save for the future.  A specific type of bird might cross your path, that connects you with a memory of something from your childhood that brought you joy.  It could even be a person offering you a smile and shares something that touched you in some way and helped give you an AHA moment.  People are an integral part of nature as well and are offering us tidbits of guidance all the time if we open up and  pay attention through all of our senses and not just our limited linear mind and thinking.

I went on a trip with my brother to Wyoming a few years ago and noticed that he kept sighting hawks everywhere.  I never saw them first, he always did.  I knew that the hawk had a message for him and urged him to pay attention.

If you are trying to make a decision about something, all you need to do is go about your business and stay aware.  Allow life to support you with your answer just as the Heron flying by my window at the time my friend was urging me to accept the China trip experience.  The Heron was so out of place, that I knew it had a message for me. However, if I had not been aware and open at that moment, I might have made the decision to avoid the trip and would have lost out on some powerful experiences.  I am very grateful to my friend for her encouragement and connection to a higher truth as well.

Life is so magical when we pay attention.  Even if we feel alone in this world, we can learn that we are never alone.  All we must do is observe how nature is showing up for us all the time. Even plants are speaking to us if we listen from our full consciousness.

Back in the late 1990’s, I quit my job as I was very unhappy in it.  I took 6 months off from work and spent many hours walking in a nearby park during those months.  One particular walk will always stand out in my mind.  I was sauntering along the beach, and suddenly, my consciousness expanded, and I experienced the rocks as living beings, chattering and communicating.  I could also feel all the other creatures, on the beach as well, communing together.  It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.  I have always loved collecting rocks and placing them around my house and garden space.  I knew at that moment why I am so drawn to them.  They too have a consciousness.

The reason I had the experience above, was that I was fully enjoying the present moment.  I temporarily stepped out of linear time and thinking and entered a world that is so much more wondrous than the one I normally participated in.

If you are going through a difficult time, you can find hope that life is trying to support you if you pay attention, listen with an open heart, and take a moment to be still.  Even if you are feeling very harried, just step outside and breathe for a few minutes.  Perhaps a hummingbird will fly by you reminding you of the joy in life. Or a spider will draw your attention reminding you to create.  Take in nature as it speaks to you and know you are not alone, no matter what your busy mind is telling you.  Or perhaps your dogs will run up to you reminding you to be playful.  A particular flower may keep drawing your attention.  Receive the message and the love.  You don’t always even need to know what the message is. Just repeat to yourself, “I am open to receiving the message you have to offer me!”

Life is magical and mystical and so much more than we normally allow ourselves to feel and experience. If you are needing to make a decision about something in your life, ask for help from the beings around you.  God/divine source energy speaks to us through the clothing of Mother Nature.   As much as you can, take a moment to remind yourself of this.  Then, step outside, breathe deeply, pay attention, and receive!

The Healing Power of Presence

By Rosemary Veilleux
Tuesday, July 20th, 2021

Dear Friends,

Over the last 7 ½ years I have had a deep, soulful, and often fun experience of working with a Network Chiropractor. I have been to the practitioner’s office dozens of times.  And every single time, no exception, I have been met with love, caring and full presence of spirit.  I know there were probably times the practitioner was tired or dealing with something that was difficult.  However, not once did I feel he did not make space for me while I was in his clinic.  His wife, who manages the office, is a healer in her own right.  She greets every person with a smile and her full presence as well. They are an integral team, both healing in different ways.  I can wholeheartedly say, I have felt better after every appointment.  Most times, I feel physically better and often I feel emotionally and spiritually better.  And usually on all levels, I feel enlivened.

I strive to bring this same presence into my own work as an energetic healer and nurse.  I must admit I do fall short of this goal sometimes.  However, for the most part, I have learned the ability to put aside my own discomfort in order to serve another being whom I am called to serve.  And during those times I am fully engaged and present, I feel uplifted and more alive, and I believe the other person I am connecting with is energized by the interaction as well.

I have been contemplating on the concept of presence and the power to heal.  When we are fully present with another being, whether it be person, animal or even insect, we are accessing the Divine Source Energy.  This energy is in every cell and between every atom and molecule of our being.  This energy envelopes us as individuals and when we are in communion with another. It is the power of all that is, of universal consciousness.  Being present with another being, means stepping outside of our judgements, and mind talk to fully take in another’s energy of being.  When this happens, you access the energy of divine presence and healing, and miracles become possible.

Being fully present for ourselves is also immensely powerful.  This means suspending judgement about what we are doing, what we look like, what we have accomplished, etc.  It also means not allowing the litany of mind talk to take over and keep us from being present with the task at hand.

I love to watch America’s Got Talent.  Every year it seems that the talent becomes even more amazing.  Last night, I watched a young woman sing with every fiber of her being.  There was only she and her music. This young woman, talked about watching her parents murder during a robbery and how her grief filled her.  But she also knew she needed to forge ahead.  She found the presence of spirit to follow her joy.  Listening to her sing, was transcendent.  She was so fully present with the song, her music, her grief for her parents and the joy of what she was doing.  Her presence sent out waves of healing for all of us touched by grief and sadness. Observing the power of her courage, encouraged all of us to find our own courage within ourselves and we were also able to be witness to her joy and feel that energy transform ourselves.

Some of the other talent on this show requires amazing presence to accomplish leaping and flying and somersaulting through the air.  If any of these contestants in those situations started thinking about what they were going to have for dinner, the result could be disastrous.  That kind of talent requires full presence of being while performing the task at hand.  And when the rest of us observe what they are accomplishing, it opens the door to find more of what we are each capable of as we open into the presence they are sharing.

How many times have you gone to the grocery store, and connected with a cashier who gave you their full smile and attention?  Maybe you were having a bad day, but when you left you felt like you had more of a spring in your step.  The power of that person’s presence provided a healing for you.  And perhaps you were the person offering that connection for the cashier.

I love to garden.  And often, I like to sit and commune with my plants, the birds, and the bees.  I have dozens of bees in my gardens this summer, and when I am pruning and planting around them, I am present with them, and they are naturally present with me.  We are in harmony with each other.  There is such a sweet energy to the bees, and they summon in me a deep joy.  I feel very alive around them and healed by their being.  And yesterday, a new flower opened up and it took me by surprise when I turned and gazed at it. I felt a moment of deep communion with this precious beauty.

When we are fully present with ourselves, or another being whether person, plant, animal or insect, we evoke the power of love, healing and peace.  If you can stay fully present with another being who is suffering, including yourself, you are accessing the power of the divine.  I promise you there will be a healing on some level.  In the space of presence is God, universal love or whatever you want to call a higher power.

Imagine if we took this power of presence to a global level.  If politicians gave another politician their full presence while discussing matters at hand instead of harboring their own agendas and thinking about what tactic they are going to use next.  Imagine a world where people showed that kind of love and respect to each other.  Imagine the healing that would occur between countries and different races if we could stay fully present with another being no matter what their color, nationality or religion.  If we could suspend our judgements to fully listen and be present for each other no matter if one of us is white and one of us is black.  Imagine how our world would change!

We are all healers to each other on this earth.  We all have the ability to provide our full presence to our children, our co-workers, our spouses, and every person or being we meet when we walk out of our doors every day, every moment.  It isn’t always easy, but it can be done.  And the more we practice being present with ourselves the more we can access this energy while out with others.  If it is hard to be fully present with another person, then start with a flower, a bee, a bird.  Each of these beings are naturally present in every moment.  This is a gift they give to us all the time.

I wish for all of you the presence of God, of healing, of peace that comes from awakening the ability to be present with yourself or another.  There is no greater gift you can give and no greater gift you will receive.

Namaste,

R0semary

Accessing Other Realities

By Rosemary Veilleux
Thursday, June 10th, 2021

Dear Friends,

There is a powerful tool we always have at our disposal. It goes along with the idea that at any moment all possibilities exist. This thought alone has given me hope and fueled my imagination over the years. It particularly becomes meaningful when going through a challenging time. The idea that at any moment all possibilities exist, can bring hope to what might seem like a hopeless situation.

To me this thought coincides with the concept of parallel universes.  That for every decision we make there are unlimited lives that are acting out the other decisions that could have been made or experiences that might have occurred.  In fact, I have been able to access other realities after experiencing situations in my own life.  In one instance, after a significant knee injury, I could feel/see/experience another reality so strongly which felt like it was just a breath away.  In the other reality, I went home after a long day of hiking and hanging out with friends, happy and injury free. And it was not just my imagination, this vision was almost as real as the one where the injury occurred.

It was so frustrating to me at the time, as I was in significant discomfort, and I could not fathom why I was experiencing what I was at that moment. And it took a bit of time before I started playing with this concept rather than just feeling victimized to the reality I was in. It took me a while to realize I could access the energy of this other reality at any time. That I could merge with the other reality and reap some benefit from it.

I believe we go in and out of different parallel universes all the time. A few years ago, I was looking for a bag of summer sandals that I knew I had put in my closet in the guest room. When I checked they were not there. I looked all over the house and kept going back to that closet which seemed silly as the only thing in the closet was a picture against the wall and some clothes on hangers, nothing else on the floor, and it is a good size closet. I would have easily seen the bag of shoes. However, I kept going back and looking, several times. I finally gave up. A couple weeks later something prompted me to go back and look in the closet.  I slid open the door, and the bag of shoes were there!

I was in a bit of shock and amazement at that moment and started laughing. A feeling of joy bubbled up in me that happens when my conscious mind steps aside and I experience something out of linear time and space. Whenever I tell this story, I can sometimes feel skepticism from others that I must have just missed seeing them. There was absolutely no way I could have missed them. It was a big bag and nothing else on the floor. For some reason, I had moved into another reality where the shoes were not there and then moved back into the reality where they were there.  I often wondered why I experienced that situation so clearly where it left me without any doubt what transpired.

I feel this happened to open me up to being more fully aware of other possibilities to linear thinking. I bet many of you have had similar experiences where you lose something, maybe your keys, and know for sure you had put them somewhere only to find them missing. Then you go back later, and they are there. And I bet some of you thought you were just not paying attention or that you were tired or even losing it!  However, can you be open to the possibility that there was something else going on? Can you allow yourself to open to the possibility that life as we think we know it, is not linear but goes out in all directions and encompasses things beyond what we believe we know to be true?

After experiencing the alternate reality from the knee injury so clearly, and then the shoe incident, I started playing with this idea of alternate universes. In one specific situation, I had significant financial debt that disappeared from an institutions system. I had spent a couple years making monthly payments and suddenly, one day, I could not access my account. After spending hours on the phone with them over the course of a few weeks, with several different people, and several different departments, I gave up. Not one person could find my information. I realized I had successfully moved into the reality where the debt was gone. I had spent a couple years playing in the other reality where the debt and situation did not occur. I would see it, feel it, and experience it in a way that it became an integral part of me and my new reality.

In merging with other realities I have had injuries or illnesses disappear completely and instantly. At other times, the injury was significant but the symptoms were lessened substantially than what I could have experienced. In the later situation where the symptoms did not go away completely, it was because a part of my mind was still attached to the injury and I had something I needed to learn from it.

I am wondering how many people reading this are thinking I am off my rocker, or delusional, or I am embellishing things?  If you find yourself thinking any of these thoughts, can you suspend judgement even for a moment. Can you allow yourself to ponder on times where maybe something similar happened to you? Maybe you were driving down the road, and the traffic was badly congested, and then suddenly things just opened up. Perhaps, you were walking somewhere and you forgot where you were going and how you happened to get to where you were at that moment.

I am sharing this with you to bring more hope into your world. If you are going through a tough time, you can play with this idea of another reality where something different is being experienced. I am not saying to deny what you are going through, as that just sets up resistance and energy stagnation, but you can play with seeing/feeling/smelling/tasting another reality where things are going the way that you desire. When you practice this, it also helps you to feel better as it helps you to get out of your way, out of negativity or victimhood, and to engage the happy hormones in your bodies/the neurotransmitters that help us find our way out of depression, sadness, and lethargy.

The exciting thing is that when you play with this concept of all possibilities existing at any time, and other realities existing at the same time, your world opens. There is a lightness of being that comes from stepping out of linear time and allowing the magic of the cosmos to fill you up.

I know each one of you have experienced this magic. It could have been when you watch a child play, or a bird at a feeder, or gaze at someone you love. Something cracks open in you at those times when you are fully engaged in the moment. It is at those times, that all possibilities are at your disposal because you are open and have stepped out of linear time and left brain thinking.  The more you can be fully present with whatever is in front of you, the greater your ability to access other possibilities.  This presence allows energy to move and your being to step out of linear time and space.

As much as you can, allow the wonder and the magic of the infinite unlimited world to encompass your every cell, every fiber of your being. The universe will not disappoint you. Next time those keys disappear, affirm to yourself, ‘well that is interesting”, and see what happens!  Allow yourself, to play with life and envision/feel etc. other realities where other possibilities await you. You are not running away from your life but you might just be running towards and merging with a more fulfilling and joyful experience.

Healing the Pattern of Suffering

By Rosemary Veilleux
Tuesday, April 20th, 2021

Dear Friends,

It has been a while since we have connected.  My life took a little bit of a side turn the middle of January after experiencing a broken finger and subsequent surgery the end of January.  Keyboarding one handed was a bit of a challenge and taking care of most things one handed kept me busy.  I am so grateful that the hand that was out of commission for several weeks was my left hand, being I am righthanded.  If you are wondering what happened, my brother’s very exuberant dog and my finger collided.  One of those crazy accidents that afterwards you say, “what the heck happened there!”

These past 3 months have made me very aware of my hands, due to the extra effort in house/animal chores and rehab at home being a daily and hourly task.   I am so appreciative of my hands now in a way I was not before. I did not know that a finger injury could be such a task in getting better.  However, my desire to have a fully functioning hand again was and continues to be an important goal.  Gardening season has commenced and it has been dispiriting not being able to walk both my dogs at once. I was shocked when the first cast came off and after only 2 weeks of having my fingers and wrist in a snug splint to keep my finger from moving, I experienced a very skinny chicken leg looking forearm which was a bit shocking and maybe a little humbling.

The good news was that I could still participate in my nursing and energetic healing work.  I have developed the ability over the years to put my own discomfort aside to be of service to others.  However, once the healing sessions or other work were completed, I stepped back into my experience of my injury.  I admit, there were several moments along this path, when I was very discontent with this journey.  Luckily, I had a hand therapist who was a captive audience and perhaps a couple of friends as well!

Homeopathy, energy and body work, have helped in the healing tremendously.  As a nurse, energetic healer and intuitive, I know healing can happen quickly and at times instantly.  I have experienced this several times in my own life.  However, it became apparent to me, this particular path was to play itself out on its own time frame.  And as in most things in life, it is not about how fast we get to our destination but more about the journey along the way.

So why am I sharing this with all of you?  Throughout the most difficult part of the journey, I became aware of a part of me that was somehow attached to my suffering.  I know compared to a lot of people’s current experiences this one might seem insignificant, but pain and discomfort on a daily basis can wear a person down a bit.  I pondered on this attachment to suffering and delved deeper into the roots of what this was about.  I found myself wanting people to know what I was going through, like somehow, their witnessing made my situation a bit more tolerable.  And the truth is, we all need other people when we go through hard times.  I’m not trying to minimize this for myself.  But I wanted to dive deeper into this feeling that the suffering was needed on some level.

I looked at my family history, particularly the women in my family, and realized there was true suffering with them.  Life was hard.  My grandmother on my mother’s side had to get up during the wee hours of the morning to chop wood and start a fire.  They had no other source of heat and she had 6 children to keep warm.  My mother had 4 children and worked full time and took care of the household tasks, cooking and cleaning.  I’m sure the women on both sides of the family had many burdens that drew their attention from the moment they arose in the early hours of the morning.  The men in my family had to work in mills and factories and experienced their own level of suffering.

This pattern of suffering is an energetic force that was passed down through these family members and ancestors.  The satisfaction of having their suffering witnessed and empathized with, was never going to happen.  Their tasks in life were just expected of them and many others were in the same boat.   I have my own version of this, but overall my life is so much easier than any of the woman who lived in the generations before me.  I am blessed with more time, space and freedom that was only a concept to them.  However, this force lived inside of me wanting to be satisfied.   My finger/hand represented a burden in my life that made my life difficult and gave an outlet for this energetic expression of suffering to surface and be healed.

We carry within us the physical, emotional and spiritual patterns of our ancestors.  When one generation does not heal an imbalanced pattern, it gets passed down to future generations until someone has an “ AHA” moment and finally sees the imbalance for what it is.  Then the pattern can be transformed into something more constructive and hopefully more fulfilling and fun.  I have been pondering that as long as I carry within me this need to have suffering witnessed, I will have a need to create situations to be witnessed.  The healing had to play itself out fully so that I could understand this pattern and transmute it.

Things are going to happen in life that are difficult and painful.  I’m not saying that I am never going to experience anything sad or challenging again.  As long as we are on this earth there will be more lessons to learn and things to keep us on our toes, so to speak.  However, this specific lesson I will not have to experience in this way again.  I will not have to hold onto something longer than it needs to be held onto, in order to have my suffering witnessed.  I have a grasp on it now, pardon the pun.  And this frees up energy to create something more pleasing that I can share with others.

My desire in sharing this with you, is to suggest that you look inside yourself and see if you are carrying your own version of this pattern.  Anytime, we feel victimized by anything, we are carrying an energy of suffering we are wanting witnessed.  If you find yourself in a painful divorce, or health crises, or financial situation that seems intolerable, then perhaps there is a pattern that needs to be healed within you that was passed down in your family lineage.  Is there a pattern of relationships not working, or jobs failing or a specific health issue that keeps surfacing through the generations?  If so, ask yourself, what is wanting to be healed here?  Why is this suffering still having the need to be witnessed?  Can I stop this suffering now, and create a new pattern that is healthier and hopefully more fulfilling?

And in the meantime, as you are going along in your journey, be kind to yourself.  By all means, find people to share your suffering and discomfort with who can hold a sacred space with you.  And at the same time, go deeper into yourself to discover the real source of the suffering.  Counselors and energetic healers are a wonderful resource to help point out and shift patterns that are deeply ingrained in us.  Just by looking at our own family issues in this lifetime, we can discover much about what our ancestors struggled with and did not heal.  And hopefully, future generations will experience a lighter level of being due to the awareness and shifting of patterns that we are resolving in our own lifetimes.

I wish all of you, less suffering, and more peace, health, joy and freedom in your life!

Lots of love,

Rosemary

Pure Love is the Antidote

Pure Love in Human Hearts Radiates the Universal Christ-Love.

Paramahansa Yogananda

Dear Friends,

Christmas time has always been special to me.  Even as a child, it was not just about the gifts but also about the lights, the music, the connection with family.  Some of my fondest family memories centered around Christmas.  After my mom decorated our front room festively, she would sit quietly and gaze at the tree and listen to Christmas music.  One by one, my brothers, father and I would eventually end up in the room with her, sitting peacefully enjoying the moments.  This would happen many evenings up until the New Year.  It was probably the only time of the year where we would all sit together in silence just enjoying this special time.

When the tree would come down, I often would get very pouty and sad.  I didn’t know at the time what was going on within me.  Looking back, I now know that my sadness was because those special moments were gone for another year.

As an adult, I still love the lights, decorations and music of Christmas.  My house is very lit up inside and out.  I realize the reason I love the lights so much is not just because they are pretty.  It’s also because they remind me of the light inside myself and within others.  And I have a strong intuitive feeling that in other realms of spirit, the light is quite amazing.  I feel all of us who love the Christmas lights, are remembering on a soulful level, another time and space where we have a greater connection to the light.

At this time of year, there is also an energy circulating that I am pulled towards.  Beneath the hustle and bustle of Christmas is an energy generated by the collective that centers around Christ Consciousness. There is a tremendous power in the Christ energy that is healing and uplifting.  Stepping into this Christ energy allows you to channel a powerful source that is always there for you but is especially poignant during this time of Christmas, or of Christ!

I’m not sharing this from a religious perspective but more from an archetypal one.  Whenever there is a person, place or thing that holds meaning for us it can become an archetype, a symbol, that embodies meaning and energy we can tap into whenever needed.  When we allow and acknowledge the positive energy that a particular person, place or thing inspires in us, we can fill our being with it and become lighter, more buoyant and at times, healed.

Santa Claus can be used as a healing archetype if it embodies in you a feeling of generosity, miracles, and community.  As a child, I thought it was incredible that Santa could visit all those homes and fly with the reindeer.  My energy would become excited and happy with the thought of Santa.  However, to someone else Santa could be just a weird old guy that breaks into people’s homes and eats their food!  In the latter situation, the energy of Santa might not be quite so helpful.

In this time of the pandemic, I have been pondering on what this virus means to all of us in terms of an archetype. It certainly does not create a feeling of lightness or joy.  In fact, to most people it symbolizes a completely opposite feeling of heaviness, fear and depression.

When I ponder over the fact that the virus seems to target the lungs of people, I reflect about how  sadness and grief are an expression of imbalanced lung energy in Chinese Medicine.  And in delving energetically into humanity worldwide, there is a tremendous amount of grief humans are carrying within themselves at this time.

I wonder if the real pandemic is this grief humanity is holding, and the damage from the virus is a physical manifestation of the grief.  And in going deeper into this thought of grief as the pandemic, I ask myself what is the true antidote to the grief? Where does this grief arise from?  Why is it so prevalent all over the world?  What is the archetype that could help heal this grief within each one of us.

The answer I get on one level is quite simple yet very profound. As a species, many humans have lost the ability to connect with their hearts and to live from their heart center in their day to day lives.  Unfortunately, there is much greed, corruption, and violence towards other humans, the animal kingdom and the environment. I myself feel deeply saddened by it.  However, fortunately, there are many people waking up, stepping outside themselves to help another person, animal and nature. In essence, they are living more and more from their heart.

I believe we are moving towards a new energy that is centered around the heart.  Pure love, as the quote above points out, embodies and radiates the Christ Consciousness.  The energy of miracles.  To me the antidote to this virus, is for each one of us to step into this heart energy as powerfully as we can.  The shutdown is giving us a breather so to speak, a time to reflect, to ponder, to spend time in activities that raise our vibration.  Or it can be a time where we grumble, complain or fight with each other which lowers our vibration.  This time is giving us a chance to reflect on the grief we carry inside ourselves in order to transmute it into something of a higher vibration, of hope and peace perhaps.

Viruses and bacteria embody a lower energetic vibration.  If we raise our own energy, and the energy of the world, then the virus will have less of a chance to be able to affect us as it will not have the sustenance it needs.  Viruses require a living organism to replicate itself.  If our vibrational energy is high, a virus won’t have the environment it needs to survive and thrive.  The same holds true for life in general.  A higher vibrational person most likely won’t attract someone who holds deeply negative thoughts and feelings and vice versa.

What if we all, as a collective, decided to raise our vibration every day, as much as possible even with the fear of the pandemic.  What if we choose to embody the archetypes that allow us to feel more love.  What if we made it a choice to not keep feeding lower vibrational entities with our negativity, fear and lack of kindness.  What if we all decided to wake up tomorrow and greet the day with happiness for being alive yet another day.  To greet each individual or group we meet with a smile.  To treat all beings with kindness and love.  What if we each made a commitment to not let ourselves falter, or to become enmeshed in lower vibrational thoughts and actions and fears.

Anything that creates a feeling of love in our hearts directs the energy of healing for ourselves and others.  If you find yourself, enmeshed in negativity, look for something, anything to smile about.  Even if it is a memory of Santa, or a Christmas past.  Sometimes it’s hard to find something to be happy about in the moment, but if you look deeper inside or outside yourself you will discover many gifts surrounding you that can make you smile.  Perhaps it will be the way the light shines on a wet leaf, or the simple pleasure of watching a bird at a feeder.  Or the memory of running as a child.  There is always something to smile about, if even for a second.  In that second, you will have raised your vibration and the vibration of the world.

In this season of Christ Consciousness, I wish for all of you the pure energy of love.  I wish for all of you the energy of this love to enfold you and to create miracles in your life and those you love.  I wish for this love to enwrap all of those suffering around the world from COVID or any other illness, to be healed by this love and that the world will understand that the only true antidote to any pandemic or crises is the energy of pure love.  Let’s spread the love and heal this pandemic of grief, pain and suffering.

Happy Holidays Dear Friends,

Discovering the Real Healing

By Rosemary Veilleux
Thursday, November 5th, 2020

Dear Friends,

What a tumultuous year this has been. There is much divisiveness in this country currently, not only for who should be president but with many topics such as the environment, gun control, abortion, and COVID issues.   I ask myself can I embrace the outcome of the current elections and trust there is a bigger picture unfolding that I nor this country can fully envision.  Can I trust that whatever is unfolding in this moment in time is for the greater good, and sink down into my own consciousness and continue to live the life that I feel best serves me staying out of judgement and fear.

I’m not writing this blog to discuss politics.  I am not a political savant by any stretch of the imagination.  But as with everything in my life, I look for connections to what it means to heal on a body, mind, and spirit level.  What is the connection between the outer world and the inner world. I’ve been contemplating on the phrase “obtaining a real healing” and what this means.  For some reason, this phrase keeps popping into my mind.

What does it mean to obtain a “real healing”? Is there such a thing as a “fake healing”. Healing is healing right?  When delving into what it means to “heal”, can we heal on purely a physical level, or purely an emotional level or purely a spiritual level?  We might discover that a pain we had for months finally disappears, or a sadness concerning a loss lightens.  We might finally understand a spiritual lesson that has plagued us with questions for some time.  But then, for some reason, the pain returns, the sadness resurfaces with the next loss and is even deeper, and this same spiritual lesson is forcing its way into our lives yet again.

In delving into this topic of a “real healing”, I ask myself, what does that mean?  For purposes of this writing, it means to heal on all levels physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Many times, when we are experiencing a physical ailment, there is an emotional and spiritual component to it as well.

For instance, I had a physical issue that was bothering me for a couple of years.  It started with several exposures to poison oak and spider bites over the course of a summer a few years ago. It developed into a histamine intolerance that seemed to grow worse over time.  I became extremely hypersensitive to everything, food and chemicals.  Even natural cleaners  and essential oils bothered me if they had a strong odor to them.

I was able to lessen some of the symptoms with natural supplements and over the counter anti-histamines, and yet the issue lingered.  I found if I was upset, or stressed, or tired, things would get worse.  I pondered at what was going on with my life at the time of all of the exposures to the allergens and realized that I was experiencing several losses in the forms of people moving away and a couple of my sweet animals dying.

I found that my symptoms would surface particularly when I became irritated.  Aha, I had to admit I was irritated at life, it seemed, quite a bit!  Irritated at things I could not control.  But I could control my physical reaction.  It just turned out, that the way I was controlling it was to have the physical reaction to give me an outlet to express my irritation.  In my case, it was itching, and then scratching!  I never knew itching could be so debilitating!

But the interesting thing is that over time, I realized that this situation became a habit.  When I would get irritated, I would get a rash, and then I would itch!  If I were eating something and feeling irritated, I would itch.  I had to deal with the spiritual issue, which was my fear of loss, the emotional issue which was irritation at not being able to control what was happening in my life, and the physical manifestation of rashes and itching.

It took a couple of years for this issue to resolve.  I had to be patient and look at my irritations over and over, very humbling. If this situation had resolved quickly, I might have had the physical healing but I would not have had the “real healing” of what was going on inside of me spiritually and emotionally.  I allowed over the counter medications and natural supplements to be a part of the journey, homeopathics to assist with the energetic healing.  I had body work and energy healing sessions.  But I also did the emotional and spiritual work going deeper inside myself to find the root cause of the issue.

So what does this have to do with the state of the world right now?  I believe there is a “real” healing going on currently that is far more encompassing than who officially becomes elected into office.  There is much surfacing on physical, spiritual and emotional levels to show all of us that there is still a great deal more to heal in our country and our world.  We have to go deeper into ourselves and observe our irritations, feel the sense of loss, and at the same time, take our supplements and get the body work that allows us to stay strong during these frustrating times.   We can scratch our itches but also acknowledge that perhaps our itching is more about habit than about truly understanding what is going on.  Our reaction to what is happening just might be a habit that is more destructive then helpful.

If you have a physical ailment, and you thought it was healed but it came back, take heart in this message. It could mean that there is perhaps a bit more work to be done.  What does this ailment represent to you?  Does it represent anger, lost opportunities, repression of sadness.  If so, allow those emotions to surface and by all means get the treatment needed, take the supplements, allow the body work.  All of these things are assisting you to go deeper into yourself to get to the root of the issue, “the real healing” so to speak.

Once you get to the root of the issue, then tremendous energy is released.  This is when spontaneous healings occur, when spiritual enlightenment happens, and emotional freedom is experienced.  If you can, no matter what is happening in the state of our world right now, stay focused on what is happening inside of you with what is occurring.  Heal your own irritations, your own frustrations, your own judgements about what others are doing or believing.  Healing can not happen when we are judging the world, or ourselves.  That judgement creates tension, and suppression of natural life force energy.

I encourage each of you to go for the “real healing” right now in yourself and with the world.  Look for the deeper meaning with what is occurring and not just scratching the surface so to speak.  Try to stay out of judgement towards others and yourself.  You might not like what is happening or how your friends voted, you might even get a rash from your irritations, but just know that scratching it can be a habit that only causes more destruction.  There is a deeper lesson with the state of the world and our country right now.  And perhaps it’s quite simple.  Maybe these times are all about finding our way past our irritations, our judgements, to find the path back to love.  Love of another and love of ourselves, and all beings who inhabit this amazing world with us.

Namaste,

Lessons From the Garden

By Rosemary Veilleux
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020

Dear Friends,

As fall embraces us with it’s colorful arms, I reflect on my gardens in their gradual state of repose.  I have been intimately involved with the gardens since February, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, planting.  Honestly, they have kept me busy and active and joyful for months now.  This time of year always brings to me a bit of sadness but also a bit of relief as I watch the beauties going back to the earth, slowly releasing the life force into the ground, not dying just resting, cultivating a new awareness, just as humans do as the earth changes it’s axis and darkness enfolds us.

I like to reflect on my time over the past few months with a state of gratitude and openness for lessons learned from my time with the bounties of nature.  Discipline, patience, awareness, humility and awe are a few of them.  I believe I have written before about one particular observation I witness every year.  This awareness has been a huge gift to me in terms of my own life and in working with others to find their place in the world, which allows them to bring forth more of their essence and gifts to the garden of their own lives.

In gardening, you learn that some plants only do well in the sun, some only in the shade.  Some cannot tolerate heat, others cannot tolerate drought.  And still others seem to do okay in a variety of situations.  I have learned from trial and error.  For instance, I have planted Dahlias in the shade and did not reap many blossoms.  Coleus loves the shade and will not do as well in the direct sun.  Periwinkle can tolerate both shade and sun.

My reason for sharing this is that people are like flowers. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and colors. Some smell good and some not so good. Some might be considered more beautiful than others but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder just as the sense of smell is to a particular person’s olfactory system.  One person may love a particular flower more than another. However, it does not mean that the flower that is not the favorite is any less wonderful just as no one being is any more special than another being.  Someone else will absolutely love the  flower that was not desired as much by the other person,  If one person does not enjoy the pleasure of our company, another person will do everything they can to be with us. This is the nature of life.

People are also very much like flowers in that each of us has a particular place where we can grow and self actualize much better than other environments.   Some people I know could never tolerate the rain and clouds of Seattle winters.   However, I love cloudy rainy days, they bring me peace and a sense of calm. I love taking naps on a cold rainy day.   However, I could never tolerate the extreme heat in California where a good friend of mine lives or the bitter cold in Saskatchewan Canada where another good friend lives.

But even deeper and more meaningful than the weather is the energy a particular space holds. If you are in an environment that doesn’t support you on an energetic level you won’t thrive. You will be like a plant that needs direct sunlight or shade to bloom and grow. You might be in a spot that provides for some of your needs so you don’t die, but you also don’t shine and bloom fully. You would be like a plant that is just about ready to bloom and the bud falls off.   And no matter how much you water the plant, if it requires more direct sunlight, no matter what you do, the bloom will not develop,

Humans and plants adapt and change over time and in relation to their environment.  However, not all adaptation is for the best.  What might have started as amazing circumstances for you at one time, might not be so much now.  Perhaps a relationship was wonderful for many years but now you are growing in different directions.  Or perhaps, a vibrant city brought you so much joy for quite a while but now you crave the quiet of the countryside or woods.  Maybe you were in a job that stimulated you every day but now you have learned everything you can from this particular path and you are craving something that provides you with greater fulfillment.

If we are not paying attention to our needs, to our cravings, to our desires, for a particular situation to change, then this energy will find another way to get our attention.  This could be in the form of anxiety, depression, extreme boredom.  And if we ignore these signs too long then accidents, illnesses, and severe depression can ensue.  If you are experiencing any of these things now, ask yourself, what am I needing right now to grow into the beautiful flower my soul is calling forth from me.

What is it that I need to bloom to my fullest, to shine my color, my light, my aura with the world.    It might just be that you are living in a place now that no longer fulfills you.  You might be called to move to a new area but you are afraid.  You might be called to a new relationship but again you don’t trust the calling.  You might be drawn to a new job but the tasks required scare the heck out of you.  Just like I am learning to place plants in spots where they will thrive and grow, there is an energy that is guiding you to do the same for yourself.

This energy is called your intuition, perception, divine guidance, universal energy and many other names.  It is the energy of a higher power, your soul, wanting you to thrive and shine your beauty on the world.   And yes, just like a flower, there will be a time to go inward, to rest, to reflect, to prepare for another season where you will be called forth yet again.

If we are shutting down our intuition by our life’s choices, we will suffer.   If we are running ourselves ragged, focusing too much on our physical being and not paying attention to our total wellbeing, including emotional and spiritual needs, we will wilt like most roses in the shade.    A little bit of imbalance we can tolerate but too much prevents our color from bursting forth to grace ourselves, our families, the world.

As fall and winter holds us in its embrace, take this time to explore the environments that best allow you to grow, and blossom.  Take the time, to rest, to go inward, to prepare for the springtime.  Go back into the seed and tuber of who you are and listen, reflect, pray on what it is in this world, be it a person, place, or path or anything else that will allow the divine seed of your soul to leap forward when you are called and to bloom my friend, to bloom your beautiful essence for us all.

Namaste,

Rosemary Veilleux

Craving the Nectar of Life

By Rosemary Veilleux
Friday, August 21st, 2020

Dear Friends,

This past weekend I was enjoying a bit of hiatus from gardening and just enjoying my creations.  I love this time of year as the plants are established, most of the planting has been completed and now it’s maintenance time.  I was sitting on my deck watching a hungry hummingbird drinking the nectar of several plants quite voraciously.  I am so often busy working/playing in the gardens I miss other opportunities to observe some of the hummingbird activity around me.

I then observed another hummingbird over by a maple tree attempting to get nectar from the leaves, at least that is what I thought.  However, I did learn afterwards that hummingbirds eat bugs from leaves and that bugs are as essential to their diet as nectar from plants.

I pondered on how these two birds reflected human’s meanderings towards the abundance of life.  Sometimes we need something of substance, like the bugs for the hummingbird and sometimes we need something sweet like the nectar from the plants.

I thought about how often in life, we pursue a path, a person, a job, that doesn’t bring us the sweetness we are craving.  Yet we stay because we keep hoping that someday things will change, or because we don’t believe that things could change for the better.

We stay in a relationship because we think the person might become what we hoped, even though we know on a deeper level this most likely won’t happen.  Perhaps this person is a good provider, but we are not having any fun with this person.  Or we stay at a job because the job provides us security and we forgo happiness to stay safe and pay the bills.

We also might be dealing with a health crisis.  We might be experiencing a disconnect from the treatment we are getting, as it just doesn’t feel like it is in alignment with our deeper needs. Or we might not have a good connection with our health care provider as he/she might be only addressing our physical needs but not recognizing us on an emotional and soulful level.   We might be drawn to moving in a different direction, trying a new treatment or provider but change is scary.  So we stick with the same people, doing the same things and still not finding the sustenance we are hoping for and healing that we desire on a more profound level.  Some of our needs are being met, but there are others that are just as important, if not more so to our sense of well being that we cannot grasp.

Nature is speaking to us all the time.  I was drawn to slowing down last Sunday and sitting and watching the birds and the bees.  Often, some inspiration will come to me when I take a moment to just be.  In this case, the hummingbirds inspired my pondering regarding our needs in life, and how often we are nourished by only part of what we require to live a full and happy life.

We can become so focused on what is in front of us, that we fail to see the abundance of life all around us.   We have blinders on to the unlimited universe and we go about our days feeling hungry, dissatisfied, and unfulfilled.  We lose our natural rhythm our natural instincts for knowing what is good for us.  These blinders are often passed down through the generations and we find ourselves in the pattern of our ancestors.  Repeating the same patterns over and over again because it feels like the path of least resistance and yet we are starving for more!

We are starving for more sweetness, more creativity, more connection, more love.  Yet we settle for less because that is what our ancestors did or what the collective currently does.   We each have our own size containers in terms of how many good things we can allow in our lives.  For some of us the container is a thimble.  For others, it’s a gallon jug.  For others, it’s a pool size holder.   It is important to ask yourself, what size is your container?   Is it a limited size or is it so vast that you can allow anything good into your life, anything that brings you nourishment and allows you to thrive and feel joy?

The maple leaf seemed so dull compared to the abundance of flowers around my yard.  And yet, both hold sustenance for the  hummingbirds.  However, if they chose only nectar they would miss out on the protein and vitamin source of the bugs.  It made me ponder on my own life, and where I might be choosing the meat of life over sweetness or vice versa.  The meat of life might not seem fun, but we need it as much as the sweetness and at times more so.  And at other times, we have too much heaviness or substance we are dealing with and we just need to kick up our heels and go for the nectar of life.

How do we change this pattern and allow in more of the abundance of life’s offerings.    In observing the hummingbirds, I realized, it’s a matter of shifting focus and changing direction.  Turning the attention away from what is not quite fulfilling and opening up our awareness to the fullness around us.  Life holds unlimited treasures.  But in order to see them, feel them, capture them we have to be open to moving our attention away from something that is in front of us that is holding our attention captive.

We have to be willing to admit that the health care provider or treatment we are partaking in, is not helping us but perhaps there is someone, or something else that can.   We have to be willing to step back from a relationship that is stagnant and unhealthy in order to allow someone in who can provide us with the nourishment and fun that we are craving.  We have to be willing to leave a dead end job that makes us want to cry every day, in order to obtain another job/career path that life is holding for us that will inspire us to  leap out of bed in the morning.

The point is to take a chance, take a risk, realize that the leaf you are chewing on is not giving you all of what you are needing but only a few feet away are many many beautiful plants of opportunities that can give to you what will further nourish your body, mind and spirit.

Stepping back into your natural rhythm with life is essential.  Anything that can help you become more in tune with your own intuition and flow with life much like the hummingbirds, is crucial to your happiness.  For me, slowing down and taking moments to observe nature, allows me to stay centered in this flow of life.  Doing what you love, creates more flow to bring in even more of what you love.  I love to garden and in gardening I love to watch the birds, bees, and even little bugs.   In observing nature, I get inspired to write, and to share my observations.  And in sharing my observations, I get to interact with all of you.

My desire in writing this today is to encourage all of you to explore what your limits are in allowing in more of the abundance of life.  And to also encourage you to find ways to be in your own natural rhythms, in your own intuition for what is right for you.    I wish for all of you the courage to know if you need the bugs from a leaf or the beautiful sweet flowers that are surrounding you.  There is no need to keep chewing on a source that is only giving you a portion of the sustenance you have been craving.  If you are not fulfilled, turn away from what you are always doing, and try something new.  You might just find that you will end up feeling as happy as a hummingbird in a garden of flowers and trees.  You never know what is right around the corner until you look.

Much Love,

Rosemary
