Inspirations from the Beauty and Wonder of Mother Earth

By Rosemary Veilleux

Dear Friends,

I am fortunate to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where the flowers have been blooming now for a couple of months.  I believe the main inspiration that brought me to Seattle to begin with was the beautiful gardens I saw everywhere when I first ventured out here during the month of March.  I didn’t realize it then, but I would soon became an avid gardener and my love of plants, flowers and all the creatures who live in the garden continues to grow stronger with each passing year.  Over the last several years I have felt a sadness in me that the beauty I create along with mother nature is not being shared as much as I would like with others.

My reason for gardening has not only been because I am passionate about it, but because I believe that gardens are incredibly healing.  Not only because of their beauty but also because of the energetic vibration the plants and creatures of the gardens share with the world.  I finally came to terms somewhat with this sadness in realizing that my neighbors, community and even the world and beyond feel the energy of the gardens not only intrinsic in the flowers themselves but because of the love that I put into creating the beauty around me.  Whenever we love something deeply, that love is felt by not only the object of our attention but by the world.  Love is the ultimate healing energy.  It is source energy/God.  When you love a plant, a child, a spouse, a parent, an animal you are sending waves of perfect healing energy out into the world and it comes back to you at the same time.

This year, in an effort to reach more people with the healing energy that surrounds my gardens I would like to share in a series of writings, inspirations that I am learning on a deep, intuitive and energetic level from the plants, earth and creatures who run amok them (including my beloved pets).   These beautiful beings have so much to share and I know I am only touching the tip of what they have to offer.   I am opening up my energy portal so that any of you reading these articles will also feel the energy I am absorbing from them and will experience this energetic support in a positive way in your own life.

This year I am particularly paying attention to the frequencies of each plant.  I learned many years ago that Roses carry a very high vibration that is particularly healing.    I contemplated on the fact that Roses are such a beautiful symbol of love.  No wonder they are used so extensively in weddings, funerals, and to declare caring for a beloved.  A friend of mine gave me sunflowers after my father passed away last year, and another a beautiful bouquet and those flowers brought me joy amidst my grief.  One of these same friends recently gave me sunflowers for my birthday and it definitely brough lightness to adding a new number to my age!  😉  I realized that sunflowers carry a frequency of joy and lightness.  Next time you have a sad friend, bring them some sunflowers and observe how your friend responds.

As I am writing this, I am looking out at a container filled with a plant called Million Bells.  It is a lovely bright plant covered with many small colorful blossoms.  It energizes as well as provides a feeling of peace and contentment.  The wonderful thing about this plant is that it will last for several months if you water it appropriately.  In that sense, it is an enduring plant, and can teach about holding your own space regarding your own beautiful being.  It doesn’t sit and say, “my I am so beautiful and wonderful”.  It just is what it is and shares this beauty  and wonder with the world unabashedly and will do so for a long time.

I hope that the next time you buy flowers for yourself or another person, you ask yourself what is it that you are wanting to convey to the person you are gifting.  Is it love, lightness, playfulness, healing or something else?  Feel the energy of the flowers and you will know intuitively which flower will provide the message you are wanting to convey.  If a person is dealing with a serious illness, Roses can help keep their energy high.  Sunflowers can bring lightness to their day!  I also suggest that the next time you walk by a beautiful flower, please do stop and smell it, admire it.  Take in it’s essence and I promise you will be transformed by it!

Wishing you much love, lightness and flowers on this journey we are sharing!
