“Every garden needs a place for it’s creator to sit and consider the big picture- a coproduction between the gardener and nature”
Dear Friends,
This quote above was on my garden calendar for the month of April. I love the feeling it invokes in me. It inspires a feeling of peace and sacred energy that wells up inside when I read it. For me, this place of pondering is under my gazebo on my deck. The view here allows me to gaze over most of my gardens and nature beings that inhabit this space.
One of my favorite past times in the summer after working all day weeding and planting, cleaning bird baths and bird feeders, is to sit under the gazebo with a glass of wine as the sun is moving towards the horizon. I love to take in the vibrant colors and watch the birds fluttering around while I plan for the next garden adventure.
I have learned much from gardening over the years. As you most likely know, a plant will thrive once the proper placement is found that includes the right water, soil, sunshine or shade. However, plants often desire to be near certain other plant friends. These beings will sometimes want to be next to another plant where there is an affinity that encourages their growth. This is much like being around others who we resonate with on a deep soul level and how those certain relationships stimulate our own lives. Gardening for me is intuitive and gentle.
In contemplating over this desire and need to have a place to sit and ponder our gardens, I realize this reflection is creation moving through us. Life force begging and urging to be released. I consider how having a place of soulful inner dwelling for other experiences can also enrich our lives. If everything is created out of a co-production, then what if we had places of pondering for each of our heart’s desires.
For instance, if we are dealing with a health issue, it would be wonderful to have a place for us to sit and and reflect between ourselves and our desires for our health. A place where we can recline and look out at our creations, and decide where we want to plan our next grand adventure with our health and healing. This place where we can see and intuit and perhaps even hear where things can be moved and shifted around to provide optimal growth and wellness.
Or perhaps you are wanting to make a change in your work situation and you feel stuck on a deep level. Where can you create the space to sit and ponder the big picture of where you are and where you want to be with your career and livelihood? This place can be a place where you hold the sacred space to feel what makes you feel fully alive, and what needs to be moved around in your career to experience increased vibrancy and happiness in your life
The key is to feel the Sacredness in the co-creation between yourself and your creations. Creation invokes the feeling of ever expanding movement. Just as creating a garden is an ever expanding experience between the gardener, the plants and other nature beings. If you want more health, or a better career path, greater finances, more satisfying relationships, then feel the sacredness between yourself and these creations. Find that sacred space to sit and ponder and visualize your desires.
If you can, experience these sacred moments with a peaceful loving heart. Experience your desires, much like I do when looking out at the gardens after working with them all day. Allow the experience to move through you as you sit and ponder the next step or adventure. Know this is the ultimate life force/God flowing through you. There is no need to grasp or hold onto anything firmly. Just enjoy the moments of peace and allow creation to move through you, expand in you, and create the vision you hold dear.
Allow this co-production with the divine to plant and grow the seeds of your desires. Find that sacred space within your own soul where reflecting and considering the big picture is quite enough. And then trust the movement that is inspired from this quiet place of reverie.
From this place of trusting and inspiration you are telling the universe that All is Well and you remain in a receiving mode. You might find a special place like a garden spot, or have a space by an alter etc. However, the true sacred space is within your own heart and soul. Connect with it and feel it and KNOW that the soul garden of your heart’s desires is growing closer and more beautiful every day. You are the gardener of your own Soul. Your life is your production and artwork. How you co-produce with the divine is Sacred and Beautiful!
Wishing you many wonderful moments as you journey into Spring and Summer, of quiet sacred contemplations and experiences of the color and vibrancy of your own soul garden!
Namaste,
Rosemary Veilleux RN
